A traditional Hungarian wheat mill with a modern mindset
Our goal is to fully meet customer needs and to build strong vertical relationships from raw-material suppliers all the way to consumers. The plant of Celldömölki Malom Kft. is a traditional Hungarian wheat mill with a capacity of 100 tonnes per day.
Flour was first milled here in 1938, and thanks to several modernization investments, production has remained almost continuous to this day. Celldömölki Malom Kft. is a member of the Hungarian family-owned GSD group, which since 1993 has been engaged largely in arable crop production. Outstanding-quality milling wheat is therefore always assured for the plant.
We deliver our flours to our partners on our own vehicles, so every batch arrives quickly and precisely. We also assist our customers with our laboratory work and expertise: from selecting or even developing the right flour specification to applying the flours in production, all while keeping specific customer needs in mind.
The details of everyday work
Behind Czelli flours stand carefully selected raw material, expertise, and several decades of milling experience. These details provide the stable quality that our partners and customers can count on day after day.
Our products were previously known under the name Celli flour, referring to the fact that our mill operates in Celldömölk.
While browsing an old newspaper, we came across the fact that the name of the town of Celldömölk was historically once written as "Czeldömölk." We decided that we, too, would like to cherish this valuable heritage.
As a result of the Hungarian spelling reforms, the simplification of the "cz" letter combination to "c" became official in 1907, so from that year on the name of Celldömölk also appears with a "c" in documents. We, however, believe that the "cz" form is not merely a pair of letters, but the imprint of an era.
That is why we decided to preserve the traditional Czelli spelling in our brand name. Czelli flour is not only an outstanding-quality ingredient, but also a slice of the past that we can preserve together.
Local wheat, traceable quality
Our goal is to buy the majority of our wheat needs directly from local, Hungarian growers. The company sources the wheat needed for milling from two main sources: local farmers and the GSD group, which grows crops in the region.
Relationship with local farmers
Some of the farmers around Celldömölk are tied to the mill through production contracts, since the mill offers them seed and a reliable sales channel.
The GSD group background
The GSD group carries out arable crop production on nearly 10,000 hectares (about 24,700 acres), headquartered in Sopronhorpács. The bulk of the wheat grown on the group's own farmland goes to the mill, ensuring an outstanding-quality and traceable milling raw material.
Quality management and safety
Our goal is to produce outstanding-quality products that meet our partners' expectations. Maintaining our company's reputation and position is guaranteed by food safety that meets expectations, by product quality, and by an effective quality-management system.
Our company operates an ISO 22000:2018 food-safety management system, which we have designed to meet our partners' expectations, domestic and international standards, and the legal requirements in force at any given time.
