Flower-Shaped Szalagos Fánk

In our latest recipe idea, the classic doughnut is reborn in a flower shape, with silky pistachio cream and bright, zingy raspberry jam.

Ingredients

For the dough

Czelli Doughnut Flour Blend 500 g
Hand-warm water 220 g
Rum / rum flavoring 1 tbsp
Very soft butter 50 g

For decorating

Pistachio cream to taste
Raspberry jam to taste

For frying

Cooking oil as needed

Instructions

1. For the dough, knead together the flour, water, and rum, then finally knead in the butter as well. You'll get a soft dough.

2. Cover and let it rise in a warm place until doubled.

3. On a floured surface, pat it out to about a thumb's width thick, cut out rounds, make cuts, and pinch the edges of the dough together to form petals.

4. Cover and let them rise a little again, then press a well into the center of each.

5. Fry both sides in medium-hot oil until golden brown. Once cooled, fill the centers with pistachio cream and raspberry jam.
