Brief description of the project content:
The project carried out the energy-efficiency modernization of a multifunctional building of nearly 400 m² (about 4,300 sq ft) that directly serves production at the company's premises. The facility previously had extremely poor energy characteristics (class II), which generated very high energy costs for the Company. The building is multifunctional, housing several storage rooms, offices, changing rooms, sanitary facilities, a quality-control laboratory, a room for storing product and raw-material samples, etc. During the energy modernization, the building's exterior façade, plinth, and floor insulation were renewed. Heat-pump underfloor heating was installed in the building. The façade openings were also replaced — the outdated box-frame windows were replaced with new, custom wooden windows featuring enhanced airtightness and insulating glazing. Instead of the outdated gas-fired radiator heating, a modern, renewable-energy system fitted with outdoor and indoor units — two air-to-water heat pumps — was installed. After the modernization, the building reached the near-zero-energy category BB. The specific energy-efficiency improvement across the whole building is 85%. The annual energy saving achievable with the completed investment is about 110,000 kWh.

Brief description of the project content:
